Has anyone tried putting suicide doors on the XB? Do you think it would be a good idea to try it out? I personally think that it might just look alright. Let me know.

How much is it going to cost? It doesn't look like such a good idea after looking at the link. Maybe I'll just hold off until I see more successful attempts at it.

 

i so wanna do it. the idea has been floating around for awhile . it will be very sweet looking. cost is gonna be hard to say since labor rates are different everywhere u go. but yeah. i cant wait . i should have it done within the year(hopefully)

 

yea right now it needs so much refinement its ridiculous. i believe it's shawns black xB that has suicides and supposedly is very hard to get into if you're bigger. i wouldnt personally try to fab up anything because i wouldnt want to mess up seals or functionality. just wait for a complete bolt on kit to come out that is worthy of the near $1000 price tag

:? Those are called "scissor" doors or "Lambo" doors. What is being attempted is a "suicide" door conversion where the hinges are relocated to the rear of the door.

someone tried doing on the rear, and, I don't remember which, but it would either not close all the way or not open more than a little bit

 

yeah, I want to do the rear doors, obviously I'm sure there's some fabrication to be done. But the smart move will be to just wait. Not like I don't have 5 1/2 years of payments left.
