This has been suggested and debated before. The feeling was they would never sell enough and that it would be too hard to make DOT legal. I have comprimised and have the Open Deck grill........

It's a cool car and everything, but it is sooo impractical for what the American market uses trucks for. There's no room to really hold much of anything in the Open-Deck, maybe if they took out the rear seats it would be possible, but unlikely. So, I highly doubt we'll be seeing this stateside ever. Other than that, it's a really cool version of the xB.

 

well as it was mentioned earlier, the only way you'll see one stateside is if someone imported it several years ago, they were a limited release, only a few thousand (I think) were ever made, and the molds were destroyed afterwords

God I want one! I know you can purchase vehicles from over seas (skyline etc) Why not do it with the open deck bb?
