So I have decided to try something new with my grill please le me know what you think.....(be kind please)....Its not the greatest picture and I will get more when it is light outside ....next step would be front lip, side skirts, and rear lip same way....

i must say: "eww..." i say that probably because i am used to my box with the chrome grilles. i have the 3 grille combo like urself, but i dont think it looks good at all. get the chrome back!

 

I will get a better pic in the morning....that one does no justice....it is black and than powdered with orange.....so hopefully I can get a pic that doesn't look like rust

 

 

hmm, the third pic looks better than the second, but what look are you trying to go for? rusted? IMHO i think it will be a little much on the lips, but thats the beauty of an xB, they are meant to be personalized, so if you like it then i say go for it, it doesnt look bad, just "different"

 

this seems like on of those mods where you need to see it in person

dude, the cell phone pic you sent me last night, looked like you painted most of your front bumper black! didn't even see the grills. I think some more pics are needed, but i kinda see where your going. Is the finish flat?

 

The other thought was to go all orange with the grills....I just want it to look "different".... Not sure on a specific style yet....there's another kid with an identical box where I live and he Is going to get our cats tagged (by cops) with how he drives and I want to make mine look apart from his

Might have to see this one in person to really grasp it. Can you get a pic without using a cellphone? Also, turn off any lights when taking a pic with that cell/cam... helps even out the bias.

Okay so the first attempt did look alot like rust so I decided to try and do a fade look.....this is one shot so if this is what I do I will need to sand and paint some more to make it look better....and shoot a clear coat on top....the one thing I am undecided on is having a flat black on the bottom or a gloss black....Let me know your thoughts

I like the orange more than the rust. ditch the fade and make the bumper grilles black and the hood grille orange...then you got it lookin prime!
