Looking for an insert for my factory grille? I have a Thunder Cloud Metallic '06 xB. I debadged the front emblem and now I need an insert to fill in the gap/hole that's left. I need a custom insert that'll make my grill look solid. Just wanna fill in the hole...for the meantime, and to also have options of a future emblem.

 

The insert I'm looking for will be permanent, yet, detachable.

EZ-BAKED! I have pics up for you. Sorry if I wasn't clear in the PM. I'm really looking forward to this. I hope there are many xB out there who would love to keep their ride original...without a hole in their grill!

I mentioned this to ez in a different thread... and he said it could be done... I illustrated what the part would look like (kinda)

 

It will be some time before I can get to it but totaly A EZ deal. Once I finish the first set of eyelids I will start working on it so lets say a month 2 @ the most.

This piece would complete my grill. Car grill that is! I don't want to patch over the hole.

Another thing!!! Can this piece be made with the same concept as the original emblem. I mean can it have clips on the back. Instead of 3M tape?

 

How about something that plugs into the hole, that makes it look like the rs.4 grill?

i have been toying around with this idea since i replaced my stock grill with the RS4, i might start cutting up my stock grill, if i come up with something that looks good i will post pictures and see what people think...

Its not complete yet still needs paint and i have to figure out how to mount it. This is just my first test at making a filler piece for the grill. Ive been thinking about this same thing for a while so i got a extra grill nd started cutting. Here are some pics in stages of how i put it together.
