i have vinyl tribal flames on my blue box now, but they only go down the front doors, id like to get a design that will cover most of the car, but i cant think of what would look cool.

wadda u guys think?

 

ya can do whatever ya want ... I did chrome vinyl flames that cover about 2/3 of the side

I like 'em but might be removing them ... haven't decided yet ... but that's one nice thing about vinyl .. don't like it ... remove it

 

yup yup, ive had the flames since november, and i think i wanna go with somethin a little more "import" looking, just some crazy designs or somethin all down the sides.

well, im not really into the 2f2f graphics and tribals and all that jazz, but as a soon to be former member fo the msprotege.com forums i can say that one perticular person on there said, choose ur favorite animal, put them in there deepest anime forum and walla, perfect graphics... so what he did was he took a spider had a friend of his draw it in a anime-ish (is that even a word) form and he had this pimp black widow body at the rear of his protege 5 with the legs estending to the front. pretty nice if i can find a picture i'll post.

How do you guys get those personalized graphics done? Are there any good places in so cal or mail order people can recommend? (If I did anything, it'd be pretty subtle.)

 

Nice spider graphic. Neat and clean. I'm going to be sporting Steve's bBist.com side body decals which are nice looking and Silky will be hooking me up with some custom graphics. I'll try to post pics when I get them put on. :D

 

open your phone book look up vinyl signs all of these places have the appropriate equipment, usually u go in with a design u tell them deminsions maybe have a image to scan they usually have a design fee, i have a 12" sticker made for a car club i used to be in they charged me 45 dollars for a design fee, and 5 dollars for 4 stickers anytime i need more. not bad.. i dunno what the design fee or cost of a huge decal like that would be, i'd say somewhere in the neighborhood for 100 - 200. look at it this way, less than getting ur windows tinted... specially in the xb... it'll prolly cost 250+ for high quality tint dark % and lifetime warranty... with all the windows in a xb heeh.

my mom wants me to get graphics done on my "too plain" polar white xA... I'm not really into attention...but I'll probably get bored one day and design something... :D

 

in cali yes so design fee wont be high... in tn its rare to see graphics extende pass the doors... so im usre design fee here would be substantially more... if i do grpahics of this sort i'll be (befriending) the vinyl place for the discounts haha... b4 i jump on them for something like this.

same goes for a tint place... i'd never go lower than skyscrapper quality in tint, and i'd never do above 15% in tint... actually when i get the xb, it'll probably be 5% or 10% all the way around. and probably 25% on front window.

btw that tint is not legal in tn... i think its 25% legal and no tint up front, but i want the look.

just a cool tip i learned, if you would like ur interior to dissapear and i mean litterally you coudl cup your hands to the window and you couldn't see in... i learned this trick awhile back...

this guy i know that owns a 350z s/c has 10% on all windows and 20% down the front window.. when he rolls the windows up his interior dissapears visually... u can cup you hands to the window and u see nothing but darkness. very cool effect and a good way to deteur theives.

 

NO STICKERS ... Stickers are for 5 year olds when they go to the doctor and dont cry!

I like all the wikid things that people are doing-- but for me this car SCREAMS for a Racing Stripe. I'm doing a 15" pearl white flanked by 1" Reflective metallic Gold. The stripe will run the entire length of the car nose to tail.

Like I said, to each his own. But for me and my lava, this just seemed right

 

I understand to each his own ... but why "Racing" Strips for a NON Racing Car ... I have seen some cool "stickers" on some cars but I never under stood why people put a GIANT strip down the middle or side of their car ...

 

to be honost its just a look they are just called racing stripes cuz of the era they were born in... i thin a lava xb would look pimp with some gunmetal or black matte rims and some charcoal or black racing strips... but i'd never do that. just think it'd look alright.
