Default Why? Fiberglass Kits

Why is it that fiberglass kits need fitted and carbon fiber kits do not?

many reasons...
you can't fit a carbon fiber kit (would ruin the CF) unless you want to paint it.
fiberglass is normally used as the structure of the part not the finshed part...
i have know fiberglass to change shape over time. curved parts will flatten out over time...

I know you can't fit a carbon fiber kit. But what I am saying is this...Carbon fiber is nothing more than Carbon Fiber laid over top fiberglass. What makes the CF so perfect that it doesn't need to be fitted?

I guess pure fiberglass warps more than the CF? It just seems weird to me that at the core of CF is fiberglass. So I would think it would be very similar to plain fiberglass in how it functions.

CF molds need to be more accurate for fit, meaning they cost more. If the first pull doesn't fit right, a new mold must be made. Patterns need to be changed, ending up adding $$$ in the end.

Fibreglass is easier to work with also for fitment issues. And the molds don't necessarily need to be spot on.

And as others have stated, fibreglass is easier to make look good as it is painted.

real CF is not laid over fiberglass...it a sheet of CF embedded with epoxy.
