Hello all, does anyone know what % the 05 xB Factory Tint is? I am looking to tint the front 2 windows, but cannot find what % to match them up with.

The smoked/colored glass that comes stock on our Scion xBs is around 27%.

ur best bet, take it to a tint shop, have them match it up

 

Did the above today, I had them put 22% on the fronts, looks almost dead on, wouldn't notice the difference unless looking for it.

 

im pretty sure its 35% thats what i was told when i got mine tested. but i just got an 5% all the way around. go limo dude. you wont regret it. ahha

cops will bust u for crosswalks over here, i thought limo all the way around cept front was illegal? i see a lot of people with it tho over here on the big butt suv's tho. i wonder how they pass the safety check?

 

Tennessee has no inspections yet. I know back in the day (10 years ago) troopers used to be pretty harsh on extremely dark tint. I just want to match the factory tint. I guess I will take it to a shop and see if they can match it. Thanks for the help guys.

 

ya in nj it is illegal, you cant have anything on the fronts, but oh well

 

25% according to a tint meter i use for NC state inspections.

 

get 20% which would be a tad darker than the rear windows but u hafta factor in the light coming in from the windshield will make it look lighter

 

I got the 20% today and it looks great. It is just a nut hair darker but you can only tell if you are inside looking out....thanks again for the help.

 

Soo is there any universal word on this? How can people be getting such drastically different results?
