Well what are we talking about?
Luggage? several large boxes? lumber?scuba tanks? bodies?concrete blocks?
concentrated load or spread out?

A simple link to the manufacturer of the rack or a spec list that we could check out would be nice. But I guess that is just too much trouble for you to post.

Lemme guess....a Toyota 4Runner rack?!
Spill the beans yo, I wanna know too. Been tryin to find a stock rack
and modifications to the body accepted....just as it looks stock
and not that Yakima stuff.

BTW, did you get those moon hubcaps from old skool VW parts? LOL.
I was contemplating that same look but props on the rack, that got
my attention fo-sho!

Yes indeed it is a 4runner luggage rack ,my congradulations on a sharp eye.

I actually got it right! I'm curious if you had to do major modifications to this unit or it was pretty straight forward installation? I'm assuming you had to drill the roof for mounting? and if you ordered this peice from the local dealer or scoured the local wrecking yards. AIM me direct if you wanna keep the details on a hush hush.

I've been researching this unit but hadn't got time to go and bug my friend at the dealer or anything else....my compliments to you for doing such an innovative job using stock or Toyota parts

Was new for 2000 4runner.Right out of the box.
Drilled holes.
Fit up without any mods.
One of forty six 'mods'to my Toaster.
I am very pleased too.
Don't tell anyone unless they have Top Secret clearance.
