not "official" but its good to see people mess around even if its not a true to "T" conversion...like a infinite q35 conversion or something....regaurdless it's nice to see people having the courage to start cuttin into the box...no ones gonna slam you here...well not me anyways...

paying for paint in full this week BTW so in progress of finishing my baby! yay! then all i have to do is sell those wheels and look into new ones and some minor interior adjustments to match the R33 skylines in suade that are being dropped in ....the interior is black and silver vinyl with custom sticth atm so it wouldnt match(so i might sell the old custom seats) lol! so yeeaa i got minor things to update and improve even when the paint is done *sigh* ur never done....such a true statement...

Low_down, since you shaved your own hatch you know, but one thing to make people aware of, its not cheap when it comes to metal work on our cars.. toyota in an effort to keep the costs down eff'ed us serious modders, with rediculously thin soft metal. I had a bear of a time with the doors, and tails, but in the end skill prevailed.

Next xB I shave will be done with 3M 8115 Panel bond. lol

I did how ever figure out a caddi tail that will fit in the pillar and cutting up will commence soon.

Keep your fingers crossed.

yeah i kinda noticed that the car has a crappy construction, i hope im never in a accident with it, i was going to use that panel bond but i heard mixed reviews about it, and the hatch sucked because of bracing in there, and did you notice how thin the paint was, no wonder it scratches easily, and when i started cutting i found out why the paint and primer were paper thin

Yours had primer in the back? WTF did toyota skip that step with mine, I grazed the inside of the hatch and went straight to metal, nevermind they skipped the clearcoat...

oh ok, I see you are still using stock metal in the hatch, I was actually thinking of having a sheet cut on a water jet and from it to the contours, Since im using procs in tandem to the keyless dooor popers.

I swear our cars are 1 step away from tin foil... I had a bear of a time shaving my hatch as well. Maryland, being the ____ state it is, wont allow me to shave the door handles, but Im seriously giving thought into registering it elsewhere so i can complete the look i want. I see some nice work in this thread. Glad to see people actually DOING something different! Keep it up!

yea for the the hatch I was jsut thinking of making a replacement skin, thats already "shaved", and panel bonding it, Im not really excited about taking a welder to the tin again. but I really need to finish the shave job.

i thaught about doing a new "skin" but well i guess that isnt going to happen but im not real happy with the hatch and might just scap it and start over or something, maybe shave the back window, i dont know. i ment to use the word primer loosely, i think they did a poor job on the finish with these cars, took some more pics yesterday

They look sharp, nice finish on them from what I can see. would you mind a pic request?

I'd like to see the inner rings of the tails, the "buckets"

I think I figured out how to get the caddis in the pillars. Im just going to go junk yard hunting for 90º plugs but I think I found a solution.. Damn me for picking a hard un supported spot. lol

here is a rough picture from my camera phone when they were tacked into place. They look a little deformed from the picture. Everything lines up perfect. The light was also tweaked a little when I put it in, but like I said, everything fits perfect... I will post more pics when everything is totally finished.
