Cuts down on glare. Also can roll down the window a little without the wind noise.

being that both the gen 1 and the gen 2 do not have little gutters above the windows, its more function than fashion. i had them on my gen 1 and it was great. now i am just waiting until they gave them for the gen 2's.

I agree with the above posts....it is both. Most of the mods I have done to my box are to improve the overall quality of the driving experience, as it is my daily driver. (Hence, no bags, 18/19s, or loud exhaust.) This is one that I needed if for no other reason than to reduce the buffeting noise with the rear windows down.

both, but IMO the esams have more function than the other visors (wade,vent,lund)

I don't even smoke, nor would i ever in the B, but the visors still:
* cut out sun bigtime
* let me crack the rears at work, and nobody notices
* great during rain when the windows fog
* redirect airflow with all windows down on the hwy

Both, you need to edit this thread and add a BOTH option.

they LOOK freakin sexy, and they help with sun glare during rushour, you can crack the windows w/o getting blown out of your seat, you can roll down the windows in the rain....they're great, AND i can crack my windows while i'm at work/home/where-ever to keep some air in the car

I think both. The xB has such a problem with wind noise, especially with the back windows. ...okay, so they don't make that bloody popping sound go away when the rears are rolled down. But they make the box look good.
