OMG I went to one of our local dealers yesterday, and I am pretty sure Im going to pre order SALSA RED!!!

I've been asking around here about the color change with no positive answer BUT yesterday at the dealer, they had the TWO new color strips available!!!!

SHADOW MICA

BOTH said xA and xB on the back!!! Then I saw a manifest with SR as an option!!!!
Im seriously thinking of trading in. We have a meeting there tonight and Im having my xB appraised while we're there!

Im just not sure if I should give up my box w/ leather or not!!!!

Its so hard to decide!!!!

BUT anyways the color is BEAUTIFUL and Im NOT a red person believe it or not!

 

The salsa red is georgous. I love it. I saw the new paint sample a few weeks back at the dealer I got my box from. I think the color Rocks. I'm waiting to see what color the next R.S. series for the box is going to be and there is a possiblity that I may trade in my 2.0 but not sure yet. the 3.0 has to be the right color though.

 

You're likely to loose enough on the trade process to have your current car painted any color you want.

The reason why Im thinking of trading is bc my xB is half paid off and the miles are 22,000. So I want to trade in to start over and I will be paying it off at the time of trade.

It also has a lot to do with the color. I LOVE it!

 

We are NOT red ppl ok, but even my husband likes the color. He picked my xB bc of the leather and even he told me to trade in. I was shocked!!


He can't wait to see what the new 3.0 might look like. Assuming they come out with one. Which Im sure they probably are.

 

the RS2.0 was ans is supposed to be the last RS released

 

Is it anything like "Absolutely Red"?? I love that color.

Not sure what absolute red looks like.

Its the red on the other toyota cars like the Prius. Its also pearl so that helps. But other than that I can't even explain the color its just nice. LOL Kind of a darker looking red not tC red.

 

tC and xA RS1 are "absolutely red"

If it's a "darker" red, I'll pass. Scion needs more bright colors. But they save them for the release series' only.

The Red Salsa is darker and a deeper red. You can go to toyota.com and see it how it looks on the Rav4, prius and almost all other toyotas. Just build one online and pick the salsa red color.

 

Its darker red but then lighter than BCP. But its nice.

I think my husband and a few other Scion owners have talked me out of it now. lol

They're telling me to use my money to inhance mine rather than starting over and being stuck with stock again. lol

Plus my brother in law has BCP and he has a hard time keeping it clean! lol

Can anyone tell me if this is a close approximation of the color?? I photoshopped mine to a red. My sister wants an xB but wanted to wait if a red came out. If this is close, she'll probably order one..

 

ok... What color is "Shadow Mica"? Gray? I'd love a Gray xB. :D

i got this from the toyota site, and this was the color they had in SALSA RED for thier PIRUS. i hav'nt seen it personally if the red is brighter, darker, or metalic.

 

A slight, slight bit lighter and juat a touch more coppery would be almost exact - as it is, your 'shopping of the color is VERY close...

The color is difficult to reproduce 'on-screen' as it has a very nice 'depth' to it.
