I have a factory installed xB alarm installed on my 2004 xB. Its worked perfectly until now. Now when its in the locked and alarmed state and I push the unlock button on the key fob, the alarm goes off. Has anyone had this problem?

Another note on the symptoms. Its seems that the alarm must be active for some time before the alarm is tripped by the open door command from the key chain. If I test it within minutes of remotely locking the car, the alarm does not go off when I remotely open by the key chain.

 

I had this same problem too. At first, it only happened occasionally, so I thought it was just a fluke. Then, the alarm started going off nearly every single time I used the keyless to unlock it. It got so annoying that I resorted to using my key to unlock the door.

I took it to the dealer, and after some investigating, they found that it was a short in the driver's side door lock actuator. The new actuator cost $126.95, but it was well worth it to have my car back to normal. Part number is 69120-52030. Hope this information is helpful.
