I think just about everybody has been confused by this site... please, use babblefish.com when you come across such things... it'll keep you from looking foolish.

That link refers not only to the bB but also at least about 5 other Toyota cars. There's another thread regarding a proposed engine swap of the Rav4 engine. But that was referring to another car and not the bB.

Scroll all the way to the bottom. Hover over the underlined Japanese script text. Look at the left side of your IE browser. It will reveal the names of the Toyota vehicles the webpage is referring too in this order:Avensis, Vitz, Wish, bB, Raum.

The 2L is referring to the Avensis Diesel Engine variant. I'm still waiting for Toyota/Scion to come out with Diesel. :D

I've had friends who've converted their soobies to RWD to drift, they used an electronic center diff and biased the power to the rear... I guess that means you'd have to get the AWD from a JDM model for this to MAYBE work... why not just do what I've done in the past... buy a track only car... they're CHEAP, and you don't have to worry about emissions, or interior like you would if you were trying to buy a street car. I've used 240sx, and miatas in the pask, but I think my next project will be a late 80's BMW 325... I've got my eye on one with torn up interior for only $800...

Celica all trac 3sgte is awd...for fwd to fit in the xB you need to get the mr2 rwd tranny, leave the cables but change out the linkage rods and then you'll be left with a big whole in the front but they sell covers for it and now you have a fwd 3sgte. Or as my friend wants me to do, substitute it with the WRX tranny and tunnel out the rear end of the xB and make it rwd. It's easily accomlished if you have the time or if you want any info on how to swap the xB engine, lemme know.

That's called "losing control of the car," not drifting.

dunno, whats the point of having RWD on an xB? all it would do is make the car more dangerous. i mean, maybe i'm just overlooking something, but it seems to me like making a RWD xB is the same as a dual exhaust on our scions. it would be neat to say you have it, but would serve no positive purpose.

build a tube frame and put your box on top of it,then you would have a 40,000dollar xb that would be prob. the only one, then sell it for 15,000 dollars when you get tired of it.
if you do this, call me when you tire of it,and i will buy it from you.

but people wanna be able to drive awesome cars on the street not just the track. and i would assume that people want so much outta xb's cuz they are awesome looking. at least thats my reasoning

the Trac off button does just what it says... it turns the traction control off. All other safety systems (ABD VSC) will remain on. you can disable these, however, but why? I'll stick with my previous post... you want to race/ drift? get a race car. You can get much more capable cars CHEAP. I also don't have my xB paid off. Also, you realize racing of any sort VOIDS your warrenty, right? Trust me, it happens. I had a friend who had a new 350Z that he would do SCCA events in, and when the tranny took a ____, they wouldn't warrenty it... seems they did a simple search on the internet and got some times that were posted at the event in his car...
