Well, I just picked up a mint RS 1.0 from Los Angeles via eBay with 58,000 miles on it from the original owner. The rear bumper had been repainted due to minor cosmetic damage. It also had TRD 18" wheels with good Pirelli tires, a Viper alarm, aftermarket armrest and came with a few other items - plus the original window sticker. My winning bid was $7,250. It has a manual transmission, which I wanted, but that also makes is more rare, only 504 of the 2100 RS 1.0's are stick.

Think about it, $7,250 paid at open auction. That is the market price.

Earlier this week there were three RS 1.0's available on Cars.com. All with asking prices between $7K and $10K - that's asking prices.

What is the value of an RS 1.0 with high miles, that's suffered $14,000 in accident damage one time and has also been in 2-3 other accidents?

That is the question.

(Clarification Note: Scion's pricing for the RS 1.0 package was $980, no difference for transmission type.)

You might be able to get over $10K in 25 years when the car has nostalgic value. As of now, you are getting a practical value.

In 50 years, expect at least $50K (with inflation and whatnot).

In 100 years, that car may be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

They actually are for women. They are the Celica's replacement.
I didn't get my car for its power, I'm laughing that you got a 3,200lb. tC for its power.

I've saw more chicks and old people driving XB than tc hate to say it man and I never once said that's why I got the tc out of all of the scion lineup it's the best choice all around and it's inexpensive to make it better than the frs and still cheaper

Ha ha I don't go to car shows, I feel that's more of a status thing. I just do what I want with my vehicles and enjoy them. I went to wyotech for a few months, and god are there some douce bag kids who mod for a so called "tuner" status. That crap drives me nuts. But I'm curious as to why you would like me to park next to you at a car show. I would hope that it's not so you could try and brag about who's car is modded better cause that's just childish...

Why are we all arguing about stupid crap!? We drive what we like so who cares. And my secondary vehicle makes every scion look like a girls car... All I'm saying is its all a matter of preference so lets just leave it at that. :D

Not gonna lie, I didn't read any of your post or anyone elses. I just saw 2004 Hot Lava with 130,000 on it. Sorry man, this is in the 5,000 to 6,000 dollar range, that way the dealer can sell it for about 7,000 or so. That might be a little high too. Definitely no where near 12,000+?! haha. You're crazy dude, straight crazy. 9,000 is way crazy too. Good luck.

Sorry about your job loss.

It is extremely doubtful selling the xB will reap you a reward to cover off what you need. Would be worth more to you to simply keep it.

Love my xB, but lets be real on the rarity aspect and how that would translate to a windfall of cash.

I see myself coming and going everyday, so can't say these vehicles are rare at all. 130K miles on any car, unless it was 60's era muscle car is not going to help you, plus 3 accidents, one that was so major it practically cost the same amount to fix as it would have been to total it? That is severe and lucky you have been able to drive this thing for as long as you have.

Add in that you need to get this sold asap, means you can't wait for your price, so if you could get close to $5K, I would be happy for you.

Good luck!

It's amazing how I can still love a car 10 years after purchase but this car seriously never wore out on me, not even a smudge. Best - car - ever. I'm here to inquire with all you fellow original xB pro's about the value of my 2004 RS1.0 Hot Lava xB. After I get it detailed and washed it looks spectacular and have kept it in fantastic condition. It has aftermarket leather seats and interior, every possible add-on Scion was offering I got it on this car including the stereo bass tube, spoiler, lights, you name it. I have after market arm rest that is kind of worn in by now. I purchased it with a special type of coat that went over the paint that kept it looking like new even to this day by merely washing it. There is a tiny scratch on the side and a little wear and tear on the back but nothing significant. No missing front pieces. The car is a god damn gem. Mileage roughly 130,000. My question to everyone is this: How much can I expect to get for this car? I must sell it by April I have no choice. It's hard to gauge what it's worth because I have nothing to compare it to. No one sells these cars because they are not only rare, but they are the kind of car you keep, not sell. Clean title, first and only owner. Of note the first week I owned the car my ex gf got in a pretty significant accident. The car was fully repaired and there are absolutely nothing that happened as a result of it whatsoever, but this will probably show up if the VIN# is ran through a system. (damage over $14,000 at the time). 2-3 fender benders it's been in with me behind the wheel over the years had the car repaired and as good as new. Always got the oil changed and kept good care of it. ANyone help me out with a value? I live in Northern California so it was never exposed to any harsh elements. Rims are 17" aftermarket I can get picture I forget the brand. Help! Thanks, hotlavalove
