I don't know anything about it, but it's really cheap, I figure someone might want to know about this.

I called then just for $hits and giggles and it is $9950. It was a theft recovery and has a Salvage title. The guys said that the driver side front quarter panel had to be replaced and the front bumper. No other damage to the car. He said that there is a Toyota dealership across the street from him and that he would gladly have them check the car out if someone wanted to buy it.

Man very tempting. I asked him about shipping to Ohio and he had no clue. Sounds like an awesome deal if some wants to customize.

Salvage title is scary if you think you may ever want to sell it. On the other hand, if you're going to trick the thing out, that really doesn't matter. This would make a great platform for a pile of mods.

Cliffy1, you are absolutely correct about trying to sell it after you have owned it. On the other hand, as you mentioned, this would be a great project car!!!

Too bad I am in Ohio, and have already put a non-refundable deposit on black xB!!!

You know there ain't no such thing right? Or are you just telling yourself that its non-refundable so you don't feel bad about not getting the salvage car?

Well, When I placed the order the dealer did not know what his alotment was going to be, so he said that if I put down a deposit, and he found out that he was not getting a 5-speed black xB in his first shippment, he would do what ever it took to get me one. So, it is sort of good faith money. So, if he has to work extra to get me my xB and then I don't take it, I think he deserves to keep the money. My opinion though. Someone else may see it another way.

Anyway, with the deposit, I am guarrentied to get what I want when I want ( for the most part). I understand that ____ happens sometimes!

Just seen the car in person looks clean not a bad deal if you never want to sell it. Just drive it for 10 yrs and get your $$$ worth or full custom car and have the greens to blow.

No problem. If it was local, I would go to look at it, so I wanted people to know where it's at so they don't have to click if it's 2000 miles away. :D

Salvage title on a xB could be a door ding...JK

The car is so inexpensive that even if it was a theft recovery or a fender bender, it could set the xB into a salvage title. Why would a insurance company spend 10k on repairs when its easy enough to just total it out?

Although I would have the frame checked out from your own body shop before trying to purchase any salvage title car.
