Default 2005 Scion Xb

I was just wondering if anyone has any information on the release of the 2005 Xb's. Does anyone know if there are any changes being made or even the date when they will be on the market? I know there are a few minor problems with the 2004's such as the stock CD player and I was wondering if any changes will be made. Appreciate it.

Gotta give someone credit for wanting to get ahead in life...

I read an article posted here about the xA/xB being one offs and Scion quickly moving to NEW cars. Wanting to keep it fresh and alive...

But I could be wrong.

I keep hearing that 2005 is the final production year for the current xB/bb body style. Any confirmation...? If so that makes the RSV1 even more limited. LOL

not a chance bro....we'll still have this xb body style for at least 3 years total but not much longer after that....Scion body cycles will run shorter than toyota's but it will be around longer than just 1 year

It will definitely be interesting to see how many different cars they can make using alot of the Echo parts. Iknow they already have a butt load of them in Japan. Maybe they willkeep rebadging some of those. I wouldn't mind seeing thatfunky 60's sorta beetle looking one. I'd pimp it.

Not really. The car companies always make cars a few years before they decide to release them to the public. So 1 year isn't a whole hell of alot of time. So he's not jumping the gun by any means .

Well, considering that Toyota isn't fully entering the market until June of this year, and those Model Year 2004 cars, I'd say that we can expect a late entry for the 2005 xA's and xB's, not being available until January of 2005. This is the morn in the industry, if a vehicle is released late in the model year, it won't get an early introduction for the next.

My dealer in New Mexico told me that when we get the Scion in June, they might possibly be 2005 models since they are being released so late. Either way, I think I am gonna wait for the '05 cuz I really don't want to buy a car and have it be half a year old the day I drive it off the lot ya know?

Who knows. I do think it is odd though that the dealers who are gonna be selling these cars (or in the rest of the country's case, already selling these cars) seem to know so little about them. I mean, my dealer doesn't seem to know jack crap. I wonder if that is Toyota keeping them in the dark or if it is just their lack of excitement about this new line and they just don't want to invest any time in research...

all car manufacturers keep nearly everyone in the dark about what they aren't sure of what direction they'll head. it is just a publicity game. who has the most resources, scionlife, car and driver, autoweek or Toyota? they know exactly what they are doing, who finds out what and how they found out about it. i bet a mil that scionlife gets stuff "leaked" to see what y'all think before they formally release some stuff. why do we know more about the FJ Cruiser? cos they want us to. IS430? same thing. i have heard about shorter cycles for the skin on Scions, and that would be a great idea.

it's all a game to keep us Amerisumers happy. and i'm damn glad.

The FJ Cruiser, it's gonna be a 2005 or 2006 Toyota model. It's like a "new" version of the "old" landcruiser.

Checking out Toyota Japan's website won't be a bad idea from time to time. Would be nice to replace the 1NZFE with the N.A. spec Rolla's 1ZZ-FE. I've read the JDM Corolla is powered by 1NZ-FE.

This has a closer resemblance to the older LC's. Except it's in already in the Japan market as the LC 70, 4.2L Diesel(?) engine and it's a 4-door. Yeah it's all speculation and dreams (owning an LC has always been my dream LOL). Check out the chrome!!!
