at least according to the guy that sold it to me last year.
Yeah I know there are some posts about it 'round here, so I apologize if this confirmation masks as old news.
Additionally there will be a 4th model added and the tC will get a face lift.

I don't consider that a "confirmation" of anything. It's been repeatedly demonstrated that Scion salesmen can be as clueless as the rest of us, and that they don't have any sort of inside track on information from Corporate headquarters.
Back last summer when I bought my 05, I asked the salesman if it would be worth waiting for the 06, and what the changes would be. He told me (accurately, it turned out). When I asked him how reliable his information was, he told me he read it here on Scionlife. That's how I found out about the place!

What's to BS about? I'm not in the market for a new Scion and whether it is true or not, just passed it along and better to say thank you then act like a bunch of girls.
Origianally Toyota did say that the xB and xA would last only 3 model years and then would be changed and called something else. Scion does want constant change and wants to keep things fresh. I do believe there is going to be one more model year for the xB. I just got back from a Toyota meeting this morning and they said that The 2007 xA and xB will be available in July, so there you go. I try not to tell my customers anything until I hear it from Toyota directly. Just look at how the dL turned out.

Considering the bB has been out in Japan basically unchanged (besides design "freshenings") since the year 2000, I believe it. Scion showed the t2B and Toyota Japan had the bB Concept, so they're obviously planning the next evolution of the car. Given Scion's marketing philosophy of keeping things fresh, whatever the next iteration is for the states, it probably won't be called xB.
The current xB shares the same production plant as the newly designed Toyota bB slated for public consumption in Feb 2006 (Japan). Producing two vehicles with mostly two different Bill of Materials (parts) is not that cost effective in the long run. Suppliers may also different between the two vehicles. Will see what happens.

Who knows for sure but it just doesn't matter to me cause I will always have an xB in one way or another forever. To me there is no

If in fact, the xB is dramatically changed after 2006, those of us who keep our xB's may find that we have a "classic" much like the early T-Bird's(55-57) , Corvairs and other cars that were distinctive, were only made for a limited period and had timeless appeal due to their uniqueness. We are already seeing this in the high re-sale value of the xB. I think the xB like good rock music will appeal to future car buffs. There's nothing like it!

I agree, it is a classic and the demand for them will be there long after they are gone. I looked at the blue book value of mine and with almost 4,000 miles on it, it is valued at $1,250 more than what I paid for it. Kind of makes the whole chaning of them sound that much more attractive. That way I will have something that will continue to be valuable for years to come.
