There won't be any significant changes to any Scion model. Each is designed to be produced for a few years, then phased out. That's part of the business model.

The xB is supposed to be replaced by a model called "t2B" which will be unveiled at the NY auto show on the 24th of this month, I beleive.

I suspect it will be released as an '06 at the end of this year.

If you want an xB, go for it, but if I were you I would at least wait and see what the t2B looks like. All we know is that it is a completely new vehicle, so it is bound to have some major advances over the 4+ year old bB/xB. My prediciton is greater safety, more power and a bit more refinement. That would be worth waiting for if you can.

I'd bet, if the t2B replaces the xB it won't be until at least the 07 model year, meaning mid 06 at the earliest for a release. It's no more than a concept at this point. No leak has happened to let us in on if they've started tooling for a production run. Judging from the ccX concept, I'd bet they're going to wait for a reaction before they spend any $$ tooling a concept up.

I would have to agree with jeer on this one.

xA, xB: 7/4/05
tC: 5/16/05

The base audio gets the 1/8" minijack for pluggin external audio sources in, while only the 6-disc changer gets the iPod connectivity.

Both audio options are getting a redesign and will feature a jog shuttle control. I hope we get a volume ****.

I have posted this stuff many times before, and I'll answer questions to the best of my knowledge.

You can buy head units for a couple hundred that have that, it doesn't require a vehicle trade-in...

For real. With the hit you'd take on the trade in you could get a very very nice audio system for your current car.
