2006 xB RS3.0 value
I entered all my info today and KBB has my 2006 RS 3.0 valued at $15,200 in excellent and $13,500 for good condition. Mine is definitely closer to excellent. I question this though because last year it valued it around $13k excellent.
Any ideas?

Well, the earthquake in Japan affected many production lines, so right now there's a shortage of vehicles. Therefore, people are looking to buy perhaps a nice, used , reliable car like your scion, so prices go up. Second, it is a highly fuel-efficient vehicle so people would pay more to have one like that. Third, it is a limited edition, vehicle, driving its price up. Last but not least, the supply of used vehicles has been dwindling thanks to the cash for clunkers program. I read this somewhere and I'll look for the link.

All Scion used car prices have sky rocketed. In addition to what Julian posted, with Scion's Pure Pricing and lack of 'promotional incentives' as far as rebates/interest rates go, the value of the cars remain high versus the price they are originally sold as.
We currently have a 2010 tC Auto on the lot with around 17k miles listed for $20,800... that's more than a new 2011 tC ($20,165.). But KBB places the 2010 tC with that mileage as a $21,800 value in the Los Angeles area. Supply and demand is all it turns out to be. If you were considering a new car and wanted to get rid of the xB, this would definitely be a great time to do it. Just make sure you print all your appraisal papers out to justify your asking price =P

ever since cash for clunkers used car prices have inflated. i don't even think the official values went up they just went up at the dealers, and car lots. now though the blue book official values have actually seemed to go up. some of you are saying it's the earthquake, and i never thought of that. i never really looked into if it was just the japanese vehicles or domestics also. i know my scion, and my friends honda civic both increased in value. i figured maybe the gas prices had something to do with it too. i better blue book my f-350 right now. i doubt that increased in value with the price of diesel!
when i bought my xb at the end of march i did a blue book on it, and with 70k miles the value private party in good condition was $7900. i just did one a few minutes ago, and now it's $8440 in good condition private party with 76k miles.
