After Market Reception Problem?

Default After Market Reception Problem?

i installed an after market radio over the weekend and know the FM reception is not good.

just wondering if anyone has expierienced this also? if so what did you do? will a booster work?

please let me know.

yeah, I put in a sony and I actually took it out to double check the antenna was plugged in. It was that bad. and it WAS plugged in. I'm lucky to get a station. Sucks hard.

what kind of head unit did you get?

yup had the same prob.... the antenna is a powered antenna, powered by the HU... i simply had to hook up 2 blue wires, and bam! crystal clear... make sure you have your "antenna" wire from your HU connected....

I thought I had done that.. but that might explain a lot! Time to yank it again. and after that I'll work on the radio :oops:

^^ yeah, the stock was nothing to write home about, but I simply can't get any stations now for most of my drive into work .

My old Blaupunkt got REALLY good reception. And, I didn't check, but I'm almost certain I hooked up that ant lead.
