Default air intake setup question

so right now i have the short ram

love it cant say anything bad about it

but i was wonder if anybody is running a cone filter right off the throttle body itself

i know some cars you can do this, shows an improvement but some you cant

i thinking you cant because of the MAF but just wondering if anybody had this kind of setup and wondering if its worth it

thanks

Yeah, if you can fab a mount for the MAF sensor and the PCV hose it would work. It probably wouldn't make a difference, though.

That would suck in a lot of hot air!! Also, there's no way to generate enough vacum for the pcv valve if it is put directly inside the filter.

I've seen cheezy kits that are only long enough for the MAF then the filter but like stated, why bother? it's gonna suck up all the hot air and not flow anybetter than what you got.
