Buy a stock box with no options as most of us so so $14,185-$14,995 depending on what transmission you get. Spend $1000-$1500 on some rims and some drop springs and the rest you can probably afford a nice katzkins leather interior or a sunroof and a half decent system.

I completely agree w/ OKIhost. Get base "Stripped down" xB from the dealer. Any accessories that they can put on can just as easily be done by you for alot less $$$. My advise would be test drive both an automatic & a 5SPD. I recommend the 5SPD.

By the way, I don't think the Focus was all that safe of a car to begin with.

no the focus sucks! especially when your brother thinks that it went faster when he shifted it between nuetral and drive while driving... now it shifts to neutral everytime it goes to the next gear!!! I love those Xb's though! there the collest lookin car on the road I believe I want a lime green one though!

Trust me, LEARN to drive a stick.

There was discussion that the new 2.0 "Special Edition xB" (Hot Lava was 1.0) was going to be lime green, but I think word is that it's going to a yellow of some sort, so no use waiting. What color are you lookin' at getting?

i was the FIRST with an installed PA system, well i think i was....in any event i was the FIRST to brag about it. Take the CB and hook and external speaker up and walla. There is a space on the left side of the engine to strap it down perfectly depending on size and it still sounds well.
PA System w/ speaker=less then $50

You can do a lot for an xB with $4K. If I had that kind of money I'd get some nice mesh 16x8s, leather, a sunroof, and probably a system if I could get a deal.

For interior lighting I'd go with the Randode kit if you don't like messing with wiring and such. Pretty much everything depends on how willing you are to get dirty and risk messing things up.

Nah, don't get anything installed at the dealer. All the accessories are wicked overpriced and you can always get them cheaper online. Check out the advertisers on this website.

I just made my own cupholder lights. It was pretty straightforward.
