Default The always dirty back window

We've only had our Xb for 2 weeks, and our only complaint is that the back window seems to always be covered with dirt. It is winter and the roads here have a lot of sand thrown on them, but this seems to be an annoying problem.
Any tips or ideas for dealing with / avoiding the dirt?
(Besides moving to warmer climate!)

its hard for me to suggest anything, i usually sponge bath my xb every night before we hit the sack. hehe jk, if the dirt is mainly from driving then theres not much you can do besides cleaning products that claim to keep the dirt away, but if it when your parked i would suggest a car cover which sucks putting on in bad conditions, if you dont have a garage you can look into the tent like car ports alot cheaper then installing a garage.

thats how square vehicles are...ever look at the back of a box truck or tractor trailor?...the sqareness causes the air to draft right onto the back of the car...a spoiler might help but i dont have one so i cant tell you for sure if it will or not

Giant tear-aways like on helmets and NASCAR windshields.

I have the same problem. should the stock spoiler help? It creates air current to push away the air turbulance which get the rear of box dirty.

Does anyone with stock spoiler on the box who still has the same problem there?

I have a stock spoiler and I don't seem to have that problem. I also use Rain-X on my windows and on my box as well. It's two different kinds of Rain-x, but it works like a champ!

i've got the stock spoiler and my rear window stays clean for a longer period of time. i drove a highlander without a spoiler home last night and the rear window was dirty half way home, my xB stays cleaner than that.

Munch,
Mine is getting dirty as soon as the road is wet with driving speed over 45 mph. Dirt cover the rear window within 10 sec after I wipe it. So I have to keep using the rear wipe as I drive. This is how serious the problem is like. How is your like?

Same thing here, and there is nothing I can do but put the rear wiper on and spray the cleaner . I'm glad it's parked up for the winter :D .

It's the nature of the beast, my wife has a matrix and the back window is always dirty in the winter, my xB so far is exactly the same. Thats why they put a wiper on the back window of our cars....

I use "Rain-X" and it keeps the rear window cleaner for a much longer time.
It also makes the salt and snow slide off (handy in NY)
and makes the dirt wipe off a lot easier when you clean it.
