scion is fugkin crazy. this whole rs1 thing was totally unplanned and unthought out for lack of better words. i mean we are talking about SCION a no name company derived from toyota. i could see waiting weeks apon weeks if we were talking about say a ____en BENTLEY. but were not. these are just some small time cheap ___, weak hp, bastard cars. i'm ____ed. first at the wait, second at the fact that there wasnt some sort of database that told them who ordered first. third that most of the scion dealers are uninformed, misinformed, or just plan out lie to you. this is no way to sale cars and i want it to me known that if i were not looking for something unique and good on gas i would say the hell with these bastards. i would get a damn nissan cube if the quality was better and they were released in the u.s.

my dealer told me i should get my rs1 by friday. yes i am kinda stoked, but what about the people who have waited longer than i have? what about the fact that its been promised delivery after promised delivery? not to mention the lack of information throughout this whole ordeal.

to sum it all up, i am stoked my rs1 should be here by friday but i've heard this all before and i'm already preparing myself for the disappointment. can you tell i'm very fedup and ____ed with the rs1 disaster?

If you don't want to wait for your Limited Edition, special release, only been available for less than a month car to get to your dealer, pick up a model that's on the lot! The people willing to wait are rewarded with an even more unique car than the Scion already is, and more power to them. Hang in there, and I'm sure you'll be glad you waited when you're cruising in one of the only Lava xBs in your town!

thats the point. i'm not the only one in town. in fact, the other one has already gotten here and been sold (auto) yet was not reserved until like a month after mine, no fault on the buyers part. the moral of the story is: scion is a bunch of dip ____s who didn't have their ducks ina row before they released a limited edition car. and now they have ____ed off lets say 2100 people ( give or take a few lucky ****'s who can just waltz in and grab one w/o even ordering one) <-- this is what has me in a rage. and yes i will wait until the end of the week and probably til it gets here but that doesn't mean i will be a happy customer nor does this mean i need to put my remarks in unpleasent experiences with merchants/dealers. its not really my dealers fault. they have helped and found out as much as they could. the problem is SCION CORP. aka TOYOTA.

I hear ya. I was there just the other day, unitl i got the good word that the RS1 should be here over the weekend. I am mellow now, but i dont know what shape ill be in if the dealer lied to me, and it doesnt make it. All you can do is wait, hell, i even sent a letter to Scion directly and stated the above to them. Their response .... SORRY. Thats it, so whatcha gonna do? Just sit and wait a little more, and then it will all be over. This time next year, everyone will be sick of their RS1s, and want to trade them in on a tC with a SC. :D

 

I know the wait is long, but there are alot of people who will wait. The MINI Cooper S is a very hard car to find, in some locations the wait is over 8 months. The crazy thing is people want to wait that long!! If the wait is too long for u get one off the lot. But I can understand ur fustrations, I am sure u will not be dissapointed.. I agree that these dealerships are uninformed, but they can only get smarter. (I know more about the Scion than some of the salesmen do :? )

can you detail what has actually happened?

It sounds more like some uninformed dealers have been making promises they shouldn't have made. But we don't have the details quite yet, Scion has been very open about when/where they were releasing products, but those are just initial dates and while some dealers got their stuff early and some late, it's all a toss up. A good dealer would let you know about, the bad ones just lead you on. I had to deal with that when I bought my xA, I had a salesman lead me on for 2 weeks through the sales pitch only to tell me when I was signing that it would be another 2 weeks instead of me driving off that day with it.... I was ____ed, so I called a competing dealer (at closing time on a weekday) and got my car the very next day as well as a drive to and from the dealership (my car was stolen, I had no transport and they were a ways off)


point to this? it's just a car. is it really worth all of this vented anger for what has probably been just the fault of an over anxious, uninformed sales rep?

I feel for all those out there(namely Doc and CB) but I'm kinda glad mine won't be here til mid-april gives me more time to build up my down payment...anyway I definately think they messed this up to some extent as I still haven't heard of any of us folks in the Central Atlantic area getting their Lava Box...am I mistaken? But for those of us that are waiting...think of what we're getting something that only 2,099 other people in the country will have!!

How awesome is that?

And for those of you that do have an RS...don't you get excited every day when you go to start your car and you see that plaque and think damn this is unique?

I dunno maybe I'm excited because this is my first new car?
