I don't know?.... Maybe make an example out of the guilty parties so this sort of crap doesn't happen to Innocent Scions ever again?
Anyone that doesn't see what's wrong with doing this to a BRANDFREAKINNEW Scion and a possible first time Scion OWNER has major issues with their Scruples!!!!! Think about it real hard Frosty355!!!!
you said you want to "make an examplem out of the guilty parties". What kind of example? What do you want to happen? Please, I just want to understand. I am not attacking. I just want to know what you want done.

Maybe something simple like make the dealership buy the car and only sell it as used. Maybe just pay a fine to Scion Corp for mis-using the vehicle. Just something to send a message that this was not the right thing to do. Ya know?

I just got done reading both threads and I have to say that I don't agree with stuffing 20 people into an "unsold" car.

Someone said that the dealership owned it, I don't think so. As far as I am concerned the dealership is just holding the car until it is purchased.

That is waaaayyyyy too much weight to put into that car and it probably did do damage to the suspension, and you can't tell me that those shoes on the dash didn't put a mark on it.

If I bought that car and later found out about it I would be really ____ed.

I am glad it wasn't my car and that I am no where near that dealership.

A Scion will NEVER be JUST a car. I realize it was done in fun, so why not use an xB owned by one of those people that were just having fun??? Because no one would want to risk hurting their own car . If you can't stand decent people that know right from wrong maybe you should stop using SL. Scion people in general are VERY GOOD PEOPLE!!!!
if you really wanna break it down like a fraction. 1. last i check scion is a barnd of cars made by toyota aimed at the younger gerneration.

2. alot(not all) of the threads on this forum are by people not doing the right things to thier cars and something bad happening then wanting toyota to fix it because of thier own mistake.

3. my experinence with scion people isnt really that great there have been a handful but the majority of them are stuck up....ITS A FRIGGIN SCION!!!! not 35-40k audi, bmw, lexus, mercedes!! i'm always seeing threads pop this foum is making fun of scions that forum is making fun of scions...its because scion people tend to not know how to act around other people and groups they act too damn stuck up!! Ive met people whove put 10/15/30k into a car and these are cars that cost 30-40k to begin with and they arent half as stuck up as some of the scon people. they actually offer advice and share thier knowledge not act stuck up and make fun of cars and clown on things just because they dont own your car!

4. if the dealer chose to use the car for an event...thats not a joke it has been serveral times before that SCION as a company supports...then fine all the cars come with warrenties if anything does happen take it back tell them something happen and it will be fixed.

do you think they would have an easy time selling that car at full price if they had copies of the pictures posted on the wall at their dealership?

I don't think so.

How many people would be running to buy that car if they saw those pics?

Not too many.

I dont think the dash of our xBs was designed to hold the weight of a person...damage could have occured from that too.

People sink alot of money into their cars....do what may not be right with their car...but the key word is "their". I dont believe that dealership owned that car like we own our cars, making the payments everymonth and so on. I have done alot of stuff to my car thats not right at all...But any damage that has happened, i paid to have it fixed and didnt expect anything free from it. But using a car that hasnt been bought or paid for for stunt like that just aint cool. Im sure one of those people in that car owned a xB...and could have used "theirs" for that.

I would not want someone sitting on my dash.

Were all the cars in the photos the dealerships? Didn't anyone own a scion? I guess I don't understand why they did not use their own. I wonder if they would have put that many people in their own scion. I would bet money not.

Heck, it wouldn't have been so bad if they had used a regular xB (non rs4.0). All I can say is if you don't understand what is wrong with doing this you have a problem. Respect the xB's of the world and all will be well! lol

This thread is retarded. Ok lets cover this with one post. The dealership did something they should have used a little more common sense about. They did not and made a stupid decision. Oh well. It's over. Life goes on. Move on with your daily routines. It is pointless to vent three pages worth of crap about something you had no control over. On another note, I would bet my tC that Scion will do nothing over this situation. You could say it was creative advertising. Stupid, but creative. Worst case scenario, Scion tells the dealer to never do it again. Big deal. Nothing any of you say is going to change anybody else's mind about this so lets let it go and move on with our lives.
