Default Anybody rocking the fog lights?

I'm slightly considering buying fog lights just as a dumb way to spend 200 bucks. Do they make a difference at all? Will they turn on if I'm only in parking light mode?

Save some cash. You still have to buy a relay but it'll save you a lot.

As sold, they are interconnected with the headlights, and do not add much lighting at night. I got them mainly because they helped break up the blank front nose and looked good both off and on.

yeah, look around though, there are a number of ways of getting them on whenever you want (what i did, before seeing other ways ) to going on when running lights are on. you dont have to buy factory fogs and yes if you want factory fogs get JDM they look a lot better! hunt around for a little and you will find a number of posts talking about fogs that go into your bottom grille for like 40 bucks at walmart or meijer.... could go that route with out the 200 bucks wasted.... and they make NO difference, they are more realistically running lights then fog lights....... they suck bad......

If you really want increased lighting in the fog or otherwise, I'd look into something aftermarket (you can find some REALLY good Hellas or PIAAs for that kind of money), and find a clever way to mount them, because the factory units are useless as anything but parking lights. As mentioned, they're tied into your headlights, so will not come on with parking lights unless you figure another way to hook them up.
That said, I do like the way mine look in the bumper, and it seems to be a fairly rare option on the cars out here anyway. Regardless, I'm still looking into some decent aftermarket lights to mount below in the grille opening - there are several guys here that have posted theirs, and have done a great job making them look like they belong there.

The lighting is poor, but I really, really hate seeing foglight blanks on any vehicle.

I just wanted to know if there was any way to get real amber fogs into the stock fog housing? I really like the look of tuners with amber lights for fogs.

I bought one from ssuperstore.com and mine had no problems, i have an 05.
I wired them up to my highs and aimed them up at other drivers for the most affect.
