anyone else have this problme on the xb?
Not complaining (too much) but I've only had my xB for 3900 miles and my dash has a rattle sound when I accellerate. Also, my damn license plate doesn't want to stay on. I have to tighten it everytime I open and close the back door. I have standard license plate screws. Do I need a different size? HELP!!!
The Spedo cover rattle has been covered ALOT on this board- take it to your dealer, and they will fix it-
Mine does the rattling occasionally, but not enough to take it in- because with my luck, they will break 17 other things while trying to fix it!....Then they will leave thumbprints all over the inside of the spedo glass.
Put it this way- If it gets worse I will take it in-- But as of now- I just turn the radio up!
As for the plate- I have had no problems with them staying on- I would try some different ones. Or better yet- take it to your dealer and make them deal with it!!!

The rattle problem has been discussed on the board before. Check this couple of posts for further information:

As far as the plate you might want to use different size screws to see if that does the trick.
Hope this helps!
