Default Anyone know where the Oil Temp/Water Temp/Voltage wires goto

We are having a hard time finding exactly where the Voltage goes to, does it go to the accessory wire, if so where? and what color?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Umm... why not just use a multimeter to find a 12v source wire? Could probably tap into the cig lighter.

GL with that...

You want it on a wire that is only "on" when the ignition switch is on. If the cig lighter is like this it would be a good choice.

But the problem we have, is what exact wire though. We gotta do some research tonight.

We finally got the bBist Gauge overlay to work. We drilled the 3 holes for the 3 gauges on my dash, but now were just trying to find out how to hook them up.

Trying to find the 1 specific wire that each one is connected to is the problem. Wish I had a diagram or something.

Do you know what a multimeter is? I made a reference to it above. It will TELL you what wire you need. How many wires do the gauges have? You probably got those cheap 1,800 color gauges right? Probably have a ground, light, 12v switched, and source wire, something like that? Hmmm... you can ground them all to any piece of metal... I bet there is one for the stereo, take a peek... ground is usually black or brown. Lights... those are important because you want the gauge to illuminate when you turn the lights on right... how about any one of the numerous lights in the center section of the dash... AC controls, probably one in the radio harness, hazard button, etc. Use that multimeter. 12V switched... you only want the gauges on when the car is running right? Cool, I thought so. You need a wire that recieves power when the key is in the 'ON' position... I bet that darn cig lighter will do the trick. Use that multimeter and check. For all of these wires, why not use vampire taps so you don't have to cut into them. Makes for a good reliable connection... or you could always shave down the insulation and solder away if that is your thing... but why make it harder than it has to be. When you have all the wires done, zip tie them together and route them so they don't interfer with anything. You should be able to daisy chain these all together.
This is a very easy task if you have a multimeter. Get a crappy one at Harbour Freight or Sears... you don't need anything fancy like a Fluke to wire in your 1,800 color gauges.

I have these 3 gauges:

AC S7 Oil Temp
AC S7 Water Temp
AC S7 Voltage

Voltage- has 3 wires (black, red, purple) black is ground, red connects to cig lighter, purple wires to headlights.

Oil Temp- has 4 wires (black, red, purple, blue) black is ground, red connects to ignition switch, blue to the oil temp sensor, purple to headlights.

*the part that we are boggled on his connecting the blue wire to the temp sensor, where exactly? and which it says connect the red wire to ignition switch is also states we can connect to the fuse accessory, this is the part that is stompin' us.

Water Temp- is the same thing as above. We don't know where the water temp senor would go? a sensor came with the gauges, but we don't know where and what wire to connect that to.

I know I have alot of questions, thank you for being really helpful/patient.

Haha! How did I know you got those gauges? I guess people are too cheap to run Defis... but oh well.
Did the gauges come with senders or are you trying to tap into stock senders? Your main concern should be mounting the senders first. And by headlights, you really mean anything that illuminates when the parking or headlights are switched on, right? Right. Need more information...

Well when my parking lights come on is what I was talking about, haha.

Mounting the senders is the MAIN problem.

I've seen some of the Defi's, and those are too expensive for me. They look pretty neat, but jus' a tad bit on the expensive side.
