Default Armrest for xB.

I was looking into ordering the Scion armrest for both my xB's. I know everyone thinks the Scion armrest is too short but so are my wife and I. A friend of ours has the armrest so we have already gotten to try it out before buying one and we like it. My only question now is where should to get it from. I see it is only $79 at www.newscionparts.com but have never ordered from them before. Has anyone had experience with them and are they cool to order from? Thanks for any help.

Alot cheaper than buying it from the Dealership...

I just got the armrest from newscionparts.com and it was a very smooth transaction. They give you a tracking # so you can tell when your package is coming. I received mine about 5 days after I ordered it.
Also they have the best price so far.

Default Zeta Armrest

If you want a great armrest, talk to Zeta Products (http://www.zetaproducts.net/). If you call/email Angelo and tell him I sent you, you will get a great price. I don't work for Zeta, just a proud owner of the product.

Best price I've found so far...( I ordered the leather steering wheel, armrest, cargo net and bumper applique and got it in less than 2 days. Great place to deal with. Ask for Ken)

If you call Angelo at Zeta and tell him that I sent you he will beat the price from North American Motorsports.

Default xB Scion Armrest is terrible

I got one from the dealer and it fit very loosely and wobbled around. Truly a terrible product, and I recommend that everyone steer clear of this. Also feeling pretty stupid for the non-refundable $26 dealer "installation fee." Like paying somebody 26 bucks to insert a Big Gulp into your cupholder.

Based on the other posts here it seems like the Zeta armrest is the way to go. Rooster, is Angelo's email info@zetaproducts.net? Do I tell him that Rooster sent me for the sweet price?

Default Before you buy, see here...

Pay the cheapest price for that same product. Easy install. $71.

The Zeta will flip up out of the way AND has a compartment for storage. None of the other armrests is equal.

I have the Zeta armrest, It's nice and all, but it does have it's downsides..Like when raising it up, the latch for the compartment is so light to the touch to open, you may end up accidentally unlatching the lid, and when you raise it up to get out of your way, the lid opens and everything in there falls out into the back seat. This happened to me once already. Also for a 5 speed car, it is a little awkward to have the armrest so high up relative to the shifter position, which is lower. It's not the problem in getting into 1-3-5, it's more 2-4-R that makes you put your wrist in a weird position to shift with your arm on the rest. I think if zeta allowed you to adjust it a little lower, the position might feel a little better. Other than that, it's pretty good, but could be a little cheaper in price for what you get, IMHO.

is there anyone else besides the dealership that will accept the $50 gift certificate towards the Scion armrest? i thought i saw on here once that someone was doing that, but i may be mistaken. it's the only feature i would like to add, and i'd want to use the cert. before it expires.....

Default xB arm rest

Do any of these arm rests interfere with shifting (manual) when down?

Read my comment above...it doesn't really interfere, it just puts your wrist in an awkward position when shifting into 2-4-R
