Default Autometer gauges install

Has anyone installed autometer gauges, volts, water temp, and oil pressure? What size works best for the space to the left of the speedo, and what is easier to install, electric or mechanical? Is there any thing special that I need to get to install these?

GL!

Oh, to answer your questions: Yes, no, yes, yes. 52mm. Electric. Knowledge of how to wire them in without causing an electrical fire.

I am going to be doing this myself hopefully in the next month. Size from autometer you want to use is 2-1/16" guages which is equivalent to 52mm. Its really up to you on which way you want to go. Electric guagues are a little more expensive than mechanical ones. I purchased a couple of adapters for the guages from scionsport.com. They are A/C autotechniques. These adapters allow you to add your guages with out having to drill & tap the block of your engine. I originally was going to go with mechanical guages but due to the water temp adapter. That one may have to go electric with a sending unit.

The adapter for the oil is a piece that has 4 threaded tapped plugs to attach your oil pressure guage to which it goes between the block and the oil filter. and the water temp adapter you will have to cut your top radiator hose in a location and this adapter gets clamped between the cut you just made.

I tried to buy some gauges from SCIONSPORT.COM, but they don't describe whether their gauges are mechanical or electric, whether they needed senders or not, etc. I emailed them over a week ago and still no response. Noot sure I want to buy from them now, if they won't respond to a SALE.

Really stupid for them to not give a FULL description, especially on the net, not like on newsprint where you have to pay by the word. Or, failing that at least respond to their email. I've had better luck on Ebay.

Can anyone recommend another vendor? I want electric Water Temp and Oil Pressure

Hell yeah! Awesome site&service. Stay away from mech. gauges though. Go electric... better in the long run.
