any ideas on how they can improve the design?

 

I dunno, I mean, the canister leaves a lot to be desired... right now it just looks a lot like a stock can with a tip on it.

Assuming that the picture is sideways (which it looks like) it seems like the exhaust tip has a bit of an angle.

If you had a picture of it on a car, it might look better, but keep in mind that the canister is visible through the rear wheels if you're running a larger diameter rim.

And here I was under the impression that the purpose of performance parts was...well, performance, not "bling"!
Not as single question about its flow vs. stock, possible HP gains...or anything else performance oriented?

I used to run Bassani products on my motorcycles back in the Middle Ages, and they made some good stuff that worked really well. (Funny, now that I think of it, my exhausts were mostly flat black instead of chrome! So much for their bling, period, huh!)

I agree with you... I could care less what it looks like... the tip is all that really matters, but some people want all of their stuff to look good. Hell, I remember Cherrybox saying he pulls his and polishes it before every show.
So yea... just an observation more than anything else.

Of course, if bolting this on nets you 15 to the wheel, I don't care what it looks like, but when you get into the discussion of an axleback exhaust that makes next to nothing in the gains department, so it should at least look good.

 

You most likely won't get 15hp with IHE on the box......you can do the research on histoirc results...so if all the choices only make a few more hp it should darn well look good IMO
