Battery Problem with 2005 xB
Hi all,
I'm the second owner of a 2005 Scion xB. The car has been though 3 batteries in the past 3.5 years that I've owned it, including the last one that only lasted two months.
Here's the breakdown:
2010: New Battery, probably normal battery life span
January 2012: Replaced Battery and Alternator, it was thought that Alternator was overcharging and killing the battery
March 2012: Replaced Battery - would not hold a charge, being charged normally.
Any idea what the problem could be?
Thanks,
Nate

Hard to diagnose with what you have given here.
What brand battery and alternator did you buy?
Might be you just got a bad battery, or maybe a bad alternator. If the original alternator is still around, put that back on.
Have you done a current draw test yet? This is done by placing an multimeter in series with the battery and if there is a excessive current draw with the key off, and if there is, start pulling fuses until you find a culprit.
