The sad part of it is it's a 4 banger AND my dad's v6 buick gets a lot better gas milage than my ranger.

And ouch, man! If you don't mind me asking, what are you driving to get that kinda mpg?

One way to extend the MPG is to take your time to get up to speed. It takes a lot of gas to get moving, but if you take it easy you can conserve a fair amount.

from a resident of Katy Texas no less... how's it out there west of Houston?? I miss Bass Pro Shops for my fishing gear... anyway back to cars...

if you really want to get better gas mileage get an xA at 34 mpg w/ aggressive driving and parking lot 880/101 I can't complain..

as for the xB, how much can be done w/ non-aggressive shifting?
