Default Which is a better armrest for the XB

I was just wondering which one is better. The one that scion sells or the other one with the storage in it. And how hard is it to install or is it something that anyone can install. Thanks for any input on this question . I've been driving mine for over two weeks and a armrest seems like it would be alot more comfy why they didn't include one is just wrong.

I thought the same thing when I bought mine, so I got one right then and there. The problem is, it's a little too low for me to actually rest my arm on when I'm driving (I'm about 6'), and its in the way when you need to get to the e-brake...
I haven't heard of one with storage.

I bought the OEM one when I ordered the car. Regretted it at first when I saw the writeups on the aftermarket ones but I've decided I'm happy.
While not adjustable it is at a good height, it improves the rear cupholder, and I like that it matches the upholstery and is cloth. More storage would be great too - I think it's a toss-up.

My dealer installed mine but I understand they're all pretty easy to install.

I have the Zeta w/storage and I think it's great. The mechanism for it to flip up isn't so good though. You should pretty much plan on leaving down. The padding on it is thin but wasn't uncomfortable for me on an 8 hour drive. It looks like it extends forward more than the boomerang- my whole arm fits on it (my seat is all the way back), probably not with the boomerang or some of the others.

Easy to install. Link to the instruction sheet is on the allscion page. Takes 10-15 minutes.

I have the Scion factory armrest and I love it. The thing rules. I don't know how I lived without it.

That is the Zeta. I have them in both of my xB's. The older model had a week mechanism
but the newer one seems to be bullet proof. It will only take 15 minute and a socket set.
to install it. The Zeta is on a steel frame and is tall enough for me at 6'-4" tall. I have
no trouble reaching the brake or shifting (5sp).

Not to hi-jack here, but does anybody know if the Boomerang or the Zeta are situated any higher than the stocker?

the Scion armrest is fine, but it would be better if it was a couple of inches wider and just a bit taller. I have gotten used to it now....very glad I got it with the car.

Mine came with the dealer option/factory armrest. I use it all the time and appreciate that it folds up when toss my messenger bag on the front passenger seat and when i drag it out of the car.

It feels a little flimsy and is made of lightweight material. Makes it feel a little cheap. But it does exactly what it's designed to do, give my arm a place to rest

Consider the one with storage... extra storage is always nice.

Oh, mine has a single cup holder for the rear passengers which comes in handy.

Good luck.

i got mine from SSuperstore.com... it was super easy to install...i acually didnt even use the wire thing to hold it down, just stuck it in the hole (took 1.5 seconds) and it seems sturdy and doesnt even move around...

i have no idea if its the OEM one or what but its nice, feels a lil too low for me but its better than nothing, if u dont use that metal wire thing that holds it down you can remove it whenever u want in 2 seconds
