So I'm sitting here watching the Pinks marathon on Speed Channel, and I'm reminded of a guy I saw at the Hudiburg Scion Rally in Oklahoma this summer. He had an xB that was basically running boost, had racing seats, a roll cage, and a gutted interior. He said he had just recently finished filming an episode of Pinks where he raced (and eventually took home) a Honda Civic of some sort. I've looked over episode guides in three places and can't find it. He had said it was going to air sometime by the end of the summer (so that would make it a season 3 episode) but I can't find an episode guide that has a xB/Civic matchup... Or just involving an xB.. Anyone know what the deal is on this? If this ep really did happen, I want to see it, bad.

 

havent see it but I did catch a glimpse of a white one in one episode

Havent seen it either and im an avad Pinks watcher... From the pic you took he is running a P.E. Supercharger.. he must be running alot of nitrous too.. if he is gonna take down a modded Civic...

if i remember correctlt when pinks came to topeka they filmed 3 different sets of races and only 1 made the cut, so im sure that gasp believe it or not the xb didnt make the show

 

if it's true it's gotta be on season 4

Pinks is very funny to watch. It's not really racing unless they really try to win each time!!! Too many games...

 

It is what really happens at the racetrack though. When I had my motorcycle I went to Darlington Dragway every Wednesday night and you'd hear betting and negotiations going on all the time.

 

That guy is trying to sell that now. Supposedly he hit 143 on the Bonneville salt flats, had it listed that way on eBay.
It's not a Power Enterprises SC, it's a completely custom one.

A local member bought it on eBay and went to OKC to pick it up. When he went to test drive it the whole bottom end came out....lol.

Good thing he drove it before he signed the papers.

 

There was an eppisode of PINKS that did have a GMC Safari on it. Thing looked cool as all get out. Kinda like an xB.

Now later in the day PINKS went to PINKS ALL OUT and in that they let 300 + racers in for a heads up racing match. Finaly purse was 10K+$. In the beginning you can see there is a tC RS1 in line ready to race. They ended up only taking cars that would run 10.0 - 10.50 so the tC didnt make the cut.

On a side note, did anyone see the eppisode where the hopped up bug drove into the wall? That was nuts!

On another side note, there was a muscle car meet here on LI not too long ago where the 2 Mustangs from LI raced at Atco NJ. From what i heard, they drew quite a crowd.

Thanks for the clarification Jon.. That top pipe looked just like the P.E. one.. Even worse to hear the bottom end dropped out of it.. but like you said atleast he test drove it before signing..

 

Apparently the lawyer who was selling it let a dealership be the middle man. It was perfect when he dropped it off and they drove the ____ out of it.

 

I call BS unless he has a new trans. Even the autoBox is only geared for a lil under 130. Not to mention the fact that xB's are the least aerodynamic car on the road. In xA's the auto's are geared for a lil higher top speed (same fuel cutoff) but the RPM's are lower at every speed.

 

He did have a different tranny as far as I know. I was trying to find the eBay ad but since it's 3 weeks or so old its a litle difficult.

 

there's still the issue of aero. but at least it is theoretically possible. with enough power.
