Default Call it what you want, it still draws a crowd

We took mine (06.5 PW w/ 17's, leather, moonroof, etc.) to the local Toyota/Scion dealer (not the one I bought from) and parked it right up front by the just introduced Gen 2's. Within two minutes, two couples looking at the gen 2's walked away from the salesvultures and came to ours. "Where are these at? We want one of these instead" they asked.
About that time this gold-chained dude in a black SL convertible rolls up. He makes a b-line to ours. Another hound dog jumps off the porch to head him off at the pass. "I need a cool car for my kid for graduation" Mercedes man says. "Uh, that's a customer car. These are the new ones we have for sale." Gold chained guy looks at the salesman like someone just insulted his mother and without a word struts back to his ride and drives off.
My wife and I are laughing now and figured we'd better leave in case we ever want to come back to Capitol Scion for parts or to joyride, err test drive anything again. Long story longer, I am not insulted anymore by anything people say, even when I first got my PW and my wife said I should put red yellow and blue circles on it and call it a loaf of Wonder Bread. Notice she now has her own lil BOP toaster.
Guy at work with a new Sierra with a lift kit, etc laughs at it on occasion, but I have nothing to compensate for and get more than twice the mileage.

I drove on a field trip for my daughter's class last week. I was the smallest car in the parking lot by far, but carried the same number of kids as all the big guzzler SUVs. Plus the kids that rode with me talked about what a "cool car" I have and the "Army roof".

Arnie, You should be ashmed of yourselves for making those poor potential customers think they could possibly still buy a REAL xB/box. I love the crap out of that whole story. I'm also glad that your wife has seen the light now and fully enjoys her semi new box.

As a fan of both cars, I do notice that a lot of people prefer our xB1. I'm not being biased or anything, but this is from experience. When I tell people that "Oh! that's the new xB!", all of them say the exact same thing: "Are you serious?" "It doesn't look like an xB"

This all happened because Jim Farley left Scion.
It's amazing how much the xB2 being called xB bothers me.

Gen 1, Classic, bB, OG...call it what you want, it still has the style!!

Just need to figure out how to stuff that 2AZ-FE and 4 wheel discs into our boxes.

And yes, bB2NER, they should have called it anything but xB.

I plan on posting pics of both of our xB's this weekend. I have been working crazy long days for the past month and haven't had time. The pic in my profile is from a year ago when mine was new and it was snowing. I had the day off and figured I'd try an e-brake turn in front of the house for kicks... Anyone else tried that? The dashboard lit up like the fourth of July, stuff was beeping and some little guy reached out of the glovebox and slapped me. "you no mess with VSC no more, you understand?" I learned my lesson.
