Can I tow my bike with my xB?
I'm not sure if it would be worth the trouble but does anyone know if it would be possible? I have an 07 Kawisaki Ninja 250. I think it's right around 300lbs. I'd probably get one of those motorcycle fold-up trailers. After that i don't know what hitch to get etc.
I also have an after market axle-back exhaust will that be a problem? And if it will be couldn't i just have a shop remake the one side of the hitch to make it mount differently?

That should answer your question. Talk to Driver_lost about the hitch.

I tow fairly often w/XB. Total weight around 6-700 lbs(loaded trailer). 5' x 8' custom trailer has 14" tires. Won't win a race up hill - but works fine. Get about 25-26 mpg as long as not in real hilly area.
Curt makes a hitch - easy install.

The hitch is cheap and easy to install yourself:

However, the wiring parts and labor can be complicated and if done wrong can mess up the car's computer, so some people who want trailer lights and a guarantee have the whole installation done by U-Haul for about $350.
Your aftermarket exhaust may require some shop cutting and welding on the Curt hitch, which will void its warranty, and U-Haul won't modify a hitch. The extra trailer load on the engine might really make that aftermarket exhaust louder, too.
Well i finally got around to starting this towing project. Just order the Curt hitch from:

Thanks Vintage42 for the link. $150 spent so far ... if i can't get it modified the way i want it with my exhaust then i'll be selling the pipe, that'll cover the hitch and and other stuff i have to buy to wire up lighting for the trailer.
Now i just gotta find where to buy a trailer at lol.

Any updates yet? I just made a custom hitch hidden behind the bumper cover for a 96 sentra. Cut a hole to install the reciever and ready to tow.
Anyone know how much a 14 ft aluminum V boat with 25 HP Johnson and trailer weighs? I'm thinking under 1K lbs. but not sure.

I installed my hitch last week. Had to put the stock axle-back on cause it wouldn't fit with my RS*R ... i'd have to make the back hanger like 1.5" longer i think but i'd be dragging the canister on everything.
With my xB being lowered the hitch is like 3" off the ground, it's not even noticeable tho it's weird lol. I don't have any pics of it yet except for this one:

I was surprised how well the xB pulled the trailer with the bike, it was kind of fun. If i do get into pulling anything more often, i will be installing air suspension in the rear again. Just cause if i wanted to pull something with passengers i'd be rubbing like crazy in the rear, not to mention the trailer would be slanted forward and i don't like the idea/look.

Wow 1500 pounds and no flogging? I'm amazed.
Nice set up Kyle. The box sits nice with it.
