Default Car Cover

After checking out the web site (www.calcarcover.com) of a cover company I learned about from a post somewhere in these forums, and searching other car cover companies on the web, I recently bought a custom xB cover from California Car Cover (and also got one for my truck). The fabric I chose was Stormweave, which is actually Kimberly Clark Evolution. The cover fits great, and will not blow off in high winds even without any type of tiedowns (there are two different models for with or without rear spoiler) - I live on the Carolina coast a few hundred yards from the water and it's often very windy here. It is nice and thick and seems like it provides good protection. The cost was moderate (I think a little over $200?), and seems very good for this quality of cover, and I believe it's warrantied for four years. This material is not waterproof, just "water resistant", but I don't think a little rain water does any harm at all. In the south especially, UV damage and abrasive dust/dirt is my main concern. I have used covers for various vehicles for ten years, and I am extremely happy with the covers I got from this company - these covers are the next best thing to a garage for protecting your box from the sun, dust, dirt, bird poop, scratches from bumps, etc. outside. I couldn't add a post to the product review section, so I hope this info is useful to some people - I have absolutely no interest in this company but I do think these car covers are excellent for my purposes. I love taking off the cover after the box has been sitting a few days, and having a spotlessly clean shiny orange crackwagon to cruise.
