Default Car Work

Ook I'm new here and I looked around a bit but couldn't find anything related to this post. The thing is, I've loved the Scion Xb ever since it was introduced a few years ago. I want to buy this a car, but my problem, after "car fitting" today ( I'm 6'5 almost 6'6), I don't fit...well. It is very uncomfortable trying to use the pedals. Are there any places in the North Eastern USA...that could fix the drivers seat and move it back at least two or three inches? I've contacted scion directly and they said that I cannot special order the car. This agrivates me so now I'm hoping that I can find someone or a company that can do this.

Thanks for your time

you can always have a fabricator reweld the mounting positions of your seat slider/mounts. I don't know how safe it will be without look at the design, but any experienced fabricator can get the job done.

I dont think you need any welding. You can probably drill a couple of new holes in the floor without any problems. Put a strong grade bolt and lock nut on the outside and you should be good.
Thats what's cool about these things is you can mod them like crazy!!!
I'm home for lunch and my box is at my shop (I'm painting the calipers red). I will check to see how difficult this will be when I get back to the shop, since I already have it up on jack stands. I'll post what I figure out tonight.

I was also thinking of modding the seat height. If you notice, the seats atatch to the floorboard with some kind of brackets. If they were level w/ the mounting area or shorter than they currently are it would give you even MORE head room.

LATA PEEPS!!!
