Default coinbox??????

I have heard reference to a coinbox that is located on lower lefthand side of the steering wheel. Is there such a thing? All my 2005 has is a "cubby" hole. Is there supposed to be a cup or a tray in that hole that serves as the coinbox? Thanks for any info.

I bought a three spring black rectangular coin holder from one of those Auto supply stores for about $3 that fits perfectly in the little slotted area to the Left Below the Steering wheel. It wedges in perfectly and looks stock... I put the pennies in the ash tray since I'm not a smoker.

There's a rear cupholder?!?!? I really need to spend some more time in the car.

I'm going to get one of those jdm-fancy ash-tray replacements. I figured the felt lining would be perfect for holding change.

I put quarters in an M&M's mini tube. Sits in my glovebox and makes less noise.
The slot on the lower left will fit a garage door opener for those who have 'em.

Having had my xB less than a week, I just noticed what looks like a coin holder inside the door of the storage area under the A/C.

That's for business cards. It would be a major pain to fish coins outta that.

I wedged my garage door opener in the little cubby to the right of the steering wheel.

Also, after dynamatting the license plate I had some left over and dynamatted the ashtray bottom. It totally muffles the change sound. My cheapo way to a JDM ashtray... Not felt but a silver backing...

Beats having a clang clang ashtray...

Okay, I was sitting in the In and Out drive-thru and had a sudden realization...

Could the "coinbox"be the cover for the fusebox? it does have kind of a deep well in the bottom, altho it seems like it would slide out on hard accel... just a thought...

I put my sunglasses in that little cubby to the left of the wheel. They fit in there perfectly. My change just goes in the door-puller-shutter (whatever that's called).
