Default A couple basic mods w/lots o pics

So, I decided to switch out my H-Techs for S-Techs. Mainly for a sportier ride than anything else. It dropped the box a little more which always looks better. Definetly a huge improvement in the cornering department... didn't really notice a difference when just crusing on the highway. I also painted my drums / calipers black for a simple clean look. Installed 10mm OTG rear shims and added a 5mm spacer to the rear as well. Hope you enjoy.

a couple tall boys... just in case.

got the fronts in

rear on htechs

rear on stechs

thanks for looking.

ha ha... one tall boy,.. coming up.

The rims "were" Maxxim 187 / 17x7 +40. They don't manufacture them anymore.
To be honest, I took the cheap way out when it came to the shoes and looking back I wish I just saved for a better (stronger) set of wheels. I like them, they look cool but I cracked one and to get it fixed was more then what I paid for one brand new. I took the gamble that it wouldn't happen again and paid for the repair. That will give me some time to save up.

I would like to red out my tails, but I have yet to get up the courage.

Default ...Cool Ride....

Great looking box. Good mods make for a fun day off.
Are those the stock rear shocks? I'm shocked, get Monroe sensatrack #5879

Have you found a good home for your old H-teck's? I am ready for a 1 inch drop.

Black painted brakes look good. Redding out tails is easy... once you figure out that the grey part is the flexible area, NOT the clear lens. That cost me a set of tails. Once I learned that, they were off in seconds.

Thanks guys.

The h-techs have about 18K on them. I am going to hold on to them for a while. Not sure how I will fare come winter time here in MA. If it gets to hecktic, I might put the h-techs back on. I actually have a set of TRD shocks/struts ready to go on, but to conserve, I am going to wait until the stockers blow before I install.

I am really getting ant-z about my stock tails man. Maybe I will give the red out a shot.

Looks real nice, I'm thinking of swapping my h's for s's also. Though the ride is great with the h's.

I guess a great ride is relative to your own personal taste. I found the H's to be a bit to sloppy. I was looking to stiffen up when cornering etc.... and the S's definetly did the trick. I don't find the ride to be to harsh compared to what your used to dealing with, even with the H's.

Now that I have been riding them for a bit, they have settled nicely.

I know what you are saying about being "sloppy". The h's are better than stock and I would like the feel in the cornering stiffened up a bit. Sounds like the s's are the way to go.

Cool xB. I think this car will look good with any mods as long as you dont go completely crazy so that there are more mods than car.
