Custom Scion xB Chopped REMOVABLE top w/RWD V8 Conversion
Love the build!
I am planning a single cab conversion on mine too.
Welding up the back doors, and using the hatch and rear pillars for the cab top corners.
I am assuming that there won't be much bracing needed if I am welding up the doors, and adding the hatch to the back of the "cab'.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Anyone in Michigan want to help out??

It all depends on the amount but you will need bracing.
PM me your questions and email address. I am an automotive engineer and have been the consultant/guide for a panel xB and a chopped top wide body xB.
I would still recommend doing body bracing... Surprising the xb unibody is very strong as it is.... I drove around for 2 months with my top completely chopped off with no body bracing at all... Body messurements are still the same as before i cut it... its better to be safe than sorry you know....
