Dealership problems. . . exp. with the xB
Is it just my area or are all the dealerships low on xB's? Every dealership Ive been to dont have em.
But thats not my problem. Ive already paid for the xB, already got everything paperwork wise done, even got the VIN number. Saturday, when I pay for it, they tell me it gets here today (Mon. 11). But now they say the ship is delayed, and they dont have it and wont have it untill later in the week. The guy says that they can get me one from Georgia, if I wanted to. But i dont understand why they just dont tell me to wait, because it should only take a week.
Now, it may just be me, but something seems a little fishy.
Has anyone else had this problem?

The local dealership here has only had 3 on the lot since January (PW, BSP, BOP), and the BOP is totally loaded ($6000+ worth of OEM accesories) and "lives" in the Scion showroom (they occasionally park it next to the road on weekends to lure people in). The BSP and PW have been sold. When I get one, it'll have to be ordered, I'm sure.

Just hang in there, you're so close... the wait will be worth it!

I dunno, writing a check before actually having a vehicle sitting outside seems kind of scary.
I went in for a testdrive on a saturday, got appraised on tuesday, and got my car on the following thursday. They had to bring it about 40 miles. I'm pretty sure they just drove it here from there since I'm 50 miles from everything else important.
I financed, of course, but they had the car there when I signed the papers.

Dont feel bad i had to wait 6 months for my RS01 and when it did finally get here i found out that it was an automatic instead of a manual......but i am happy i got one period. Just hold on its worth the wait.

Well, it was either, settle for one on the lot, where the paint was all swirly and just in general not well taken care of. or get one in a color i want. cuz the way it worked was, they dont carry them on the lots anymore, people always pre buy them, they rarely have ones on the lot.

My xB RS2.0 was suppose to come in to Alexandria Toyota/Scion yesterday. Received a call from the dealer advising the car did not come but they still show it on the computer as being at the dealer. He said it is suppose to come in on the next shipment. The next shipment being 6 trucks, four arrived yesterday. He expects in today. I hope so!
Remember when the PT Cruiser was the "it" car, and everyone wanted one it seemed? Dealerships couldn't keep them because Chrysler didn't anticipate the demand and they sold as soon as they hit the lot. By the time they were finally producing them in larger quantities, they were no longer the "it" cars and the dealerships were stuck with a glut of them.
I hope that doesn't happen with the xBs.

but now, the way they are talkin to my dad, it seems like they sold it to two people. Me and someone else. they really are stressing the whole, "we can get you one from Georgia" deal. but hey, i guess imma get that car regardless. ..
