Has anyone done a conversion to add the intermittent function to the rear wiper? Is it possible?

I have been looking for this also.I do remember a guy used a Matrix/Vibe stalk but it didn't change the rear wiper function.Something about the wiper motor had to be different too.

 

You could probably rig something. I'm sure there's kits for windshield wipers which could adapt or Google it and build your own circuit. Honestly though, I didn't use the feature on the one vehicle I owned which had an intermittent rear wiper setting. I did the same as I do now- let it swipe once or twice to clear the window then turn it off. Next time I want a clear view out back, I do it again. Which is maybe once every 15+ minutes.

Thank you, I'm very interested. Anytime I drive when the roads are wet the rear window gets misted up every 15 or so seconds and it gets to be a pain turning it on and off.

 

yea ill never understand what they were thinking when they made the rear wiper run continuously. not even in a torrential downpour do i need that much wipeage on the rear window.

 

I was looking into it a little bit even went as far as to go get a relay from a junk yard and pulling up diagrams.
Looks like it wont work as all rear wipers with 2 speeds or intermittent have 3 wires ours only has 2.
