Do you sell your stock parts?
Just wondering...Do people generally sell their no longer used stock parts? Is there a demand for these items? Or, is it better to hold on to them, even if you plan on keeping your car for the long haul? What are your thoughts?
im keeping my stock parts. like my grill, tc emblem, stock wheels (good for winter) dome light bulbs. you never know when you might need them again. but i do know lots of people who sell them anyway. i prefer to keep them as a back up. but if i am hard up for some cash i might sell some of them.
I personally have kept my stock intake, and the original shifter assembly. I would have kept my stock exhaust too, except that it was replaced because it got crushed (piece of cinderblock flew off of truck, under my box, and smacked muffler).
I was under the impression that the car might get more money at a dealer or something later, if it could be stockified. Not sure why I thought this, but I've kept the parts anyways.

You could sell them, people do buy them.
I keep all of mine. If one of my new parts breaks or gets damaged I'm straight. Or, if need be, my car can be completely stock in an hour. (minus the shaved wiper

I keep my stock parts in the garage just to irratate my wife..........
I've been keeping all of mine, too. I guess it's just in case I keep it long enough to tire of the mods, or if I ever want to return to stock form for car shows in 30 years when its a major-league collector car!

i always keep stock parts, never know... after market parts may break, you may be able to fab somfin out of the old parts, someone you know may need them... ect. as far as the warrenty goes. if you replace your intake, obviously your intake is no longer covered. but say you replace your intake and your motor blows, they have to prove that the intake caused your motor to blow on order to void your warranty ;), verdict, keep your parts.

OK, that doesn't really matter anyway, 'cause I'm not planning to sell it until it's totally worn out. (Whenever I've modded a motorcycle I've just gotten rid of the stock parts (Ebay is my friend) 'cause I'd rather have the space than the parts ;^)
