Default Does anybody make a "phantom" grill conversion???

Do you know if anyone has a "phantom" style grill conversion for the XB? You know the style that was really popular on a lot of 80-90's mini trucks, and even a lot of full size trucks where the billet grill goes all the way across the front from end to end and the headlights are hidden behind? I think it would be tight on the XB.

Well something like this..........

no one makes such a grille at the present time, you will have to get a custom one fabricated

Well someone SHOULD make one because it would be tight. I would imagine the headlights had to be recessed on all the older ones. Old skool rules. Custom rules. Cheesy ___ zip tied over the factory garbage doesn't rule.

I'd buy it. Someone P-chop it on an XB - there is no way this looks would not be cool. OK, well all the posts to follow will surely prove me wrong.

I think the zip tied grills look great, better than the RS grill (the RS grill has 10 lines, the zip tie has 16). You can't even tell that the stock bumper grills are there unless you get right up on it. If I were to get a billet grill, I'd go with the zip tied one because of the price and the look. No doubt.

they make real billet style after market too, btu they do not cover the head lights. If you're good enough to fab the new headlight locations, you can make your own grill ;-)

On the old trucks the headlights didn't have to move at all. They were already, slightly, set back from the front of the truck.

All it took was making the grill larger to cover them. So it's, actually, a rather easy process on the older trucks.

For the xB you'd need new headlights (easiest way). As not only would ours have to be set back (at least an inch), the way they are mounted would have to be changed and you'd, most likely, have to do something about the edge of the light where it "kicks out" for the reflector.

I'd weld in a piece of steel there that is the same shape of the turn signal... then I would make a set of turn signals where the foglights are suposed to go
