Default Does my box look totaled?

If not, how much do you think I can get if I trade it in to a dealer? NADA says trade in value is around $10,850 for a regular xB, but this is the RS2.0

get a pic under the hood of the frame rail on that side... most likely if the rail is tweaked its totaled.

What is the frame rail? I tried looking to see if anything was bent but I didn't know what to look for.

That one could go either way, depending on how much internal damage there is.

Wow!...
I've seen worse but like most stated above, gotta check the portion of the engine bay that supports the engine and tranny to see how bad it really is!...

That's FAR from totaled. If it were mine I'd collect the estimate check and fix it myself. That is not bad at all.
Throw some new parts on it and pay someone to match up the paint. You could prolly make some money off that deal if done right.
If you look close you can see where it missed that frame rail. This is the kind of xB I would love to pick up cheap and fix for a driver.

looks like the front tire is tweaked ..maybe bent some of the bars down under..i allways thought if it was more money to fix then it gets totaled out and you have the option of buying it back??

So if it's not totaled and they fix it, how much do you think a dealer would give me for it knowing it was in an accident?

Definitely a total, Over 10k in damages right there, new door, blend the rear, repair the hood, left upper rail, possibly rad support and left entire suspension... I dont know an insurance company that would fix that.... In fact thats an easy total. It will be at the auction in 2 weeks. Let us know what happens! Id say an ins co will value it at low 10 or high 9. Then again it all depends on your insurance company. Good luck man. If that were my ride, I wouldn't want to have it fixed...driving around in a car that illegals fixed...(thats whats inside most body shops anyways) youll be watching your fender fly off when you hit 70!

I got 10.5k for my perfectly fine xB today. An 06 with 21000 miles. Granted you have an RS2 but 8k sounds about right... sucks.

Trade it in at night, make sure it's really dirty, that'll hide a shady color match. Also, make sure the dealership doesn't do a car fax first. Most don't anyway. Get in there towards the end of the day also, they are usually in a hurry to finish up deals and get out of there. Just a little advice to level the playing field a bit, they don't think twice to screw us!

ive seen less damge be declared totalled due to the low price of the car my dad hit a deer in his solar yellow and it didnt look totaled to me but the insurance adjuster said otherwise the deciding factor was that the headliner got torn out if it wasnt a rs id say take the money and run assuming you have full coverage if not it looks repairable with a little thrifty shoping around and some elbow grease

Now I've seen both ends of the spectrum -- definite NOT totaled and definitely totaled, lol. I hope it is and we'll start fresh.

The dealer I'm talking to knows about the accident and said he can get me "top dollar" for my trade, whatever amount that is. He also knows my girlfriend family from prior business. I don't think he's out to screw me, but who knows.
