Dropped xB in the snow?

Dropped xB in the snow?
A question for all you northeasterners.... I am considering buying a used xB and the owner said he would either leave it dropped (about a 5 inch clearance) or could raise it back up to stock height. I drive a lot and will need the car for commuting in the snow come winder (he is in the deep south where there is no snow).
Should I leave the car dropped or raise it? Anything else I should worry about moving a car from the bottom of the US to the top?
Thansk to all that can add some insight.

I live in Buffalo and the snow is the main reason I won't even consider dropping my xB. It sits pretty low to the ground now, any lower and you're asking for a headache with even the smaller snow drifts/piles come winter time.

You might want to take a look at undercoating. There was another post in which undercoating came up. Most XBs seem not to have it but one up north did so we didn't know if it was a northern thing or just something the dealer did.
