Default Emblem removal

No, not the xB badging...my dealer put one of their plastic silver logos right above the xB emblem on the rear....what's the best way to get it off without damaging the paint?

Fishpole line or whatever you call it. That sucks. You aren't advertising for them r u??? Or use the hair dryer technique.

If you do try to remove them yourself via the fishing line method I have a suggestion.

Mask off the entire area around the emblem with masking tape. Mask at least a foot all around. When I de-badged my xB I didn't do that, and I was extremely carefull, but I found that just dragging knuckles over the paint will scratch it easilly. Soft paint I guess.

Anyway I spent more time buffing the paint out than I did taking the emblems off.

use a hairdryer and softly scrape the sticker off with a finger name when it gets hot, then wash the area thoroughly, thats how i did it on mine.

take it to the dealer, tell them you arent getting paid for the advertising, so you want it off, and dont leave till they do it, unless. you can always add that you will leave it on for a reduction for "advertising costs" on your payments, which they wont do so it will be removed
