is there an envy green spray paint out there? I wanted to paint a few things

check with your local paint shop(s). Mine can mix and put anything you want it a spray can.

 

You'll be lucky if paint stores even have the recipe for Envy green yet. If so have them mix you up a quart.

 

Go to an automotive paint supply store and ask them to make you a spray bomb with Toyota 6U1. They can do it.

 

You won't find it on the krylon shelf.

You probably already have a strut bar since you want to paint it, but are you aware that TRD did a limited edition strut powdercoated in Envy Green? This is where I got mine:

I do like the idea of painting some things, though. I'm thinking about a clear bug deflector, painted on the back side only. That way it will look green but won't chip with rocks etc.

yea i knew about the one by trd but i dont have alot of money to blow on parts so im just looking to keep cost down. I was thinking of getting those projector headlights then paint them to match the car but thanks ragincajun i will have to check that place out when im ready to do some stuff. good find :tup:

 

What is the code for TCM touch up paint? I got some touch up paint from the dealer, but then I lost it. When I found it a couple of months later, I opened it and the paint inside was black! I did a test paint on a napkin and waited overnight to see if it would change color as it dried, but it didn't. They sold me the wrong color! I'm glad I tested it before I painted over the chips on my hood! Thanks in advance for any help.

 

hell, i didnt know about the spray bomb idea. i thought our paint was too new. i guess ill have to pick a couple up on payday

Thanks for that, shorberg! It occurred to me a few minutes ago just what to do with that bottle of black paint that I can't return: paint the shiny rod in front of my radiator!

 

lol, what color code is the black paint? 209 is black sand pearl, 202 is black, i think that is the only blacks currently on toyota's . .

 

I'll have to dig it out of the pile on the kitchen table and get back to you...

Well, I'm embarassed now. I dug it out of the kitchen table pile and the label said 1D2. I didn't know I was supposed to shake it up! After I shook it, it turned from black to TCM. Sorry!

 

I ordered some paint from paintscratch.com also and it came a week later, (not envy green, but yellow for my current car) and it's working good.. no issues with their service..
